The WCPSS Board of Education approved the following grant opportunities at their meeting on October 6:

Annie’s Homegrown Grants for Gardens
First Book Grant Program

NC Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts Auxiliary Grant
NC Farm Bureau, Ag in the Classroom

Speed Stacks Sport Pack Grant Program
USA TODAY Foundation
Turning Technologies
Raleigh Moms Care Teacher Grant

Deadlines Looming:

Lowe’s Home Improvement Toolbox for Education grant provides up to $5,000 and the deadline is October 16.
Raleigh Moms Care teacher grant provides $500 in appreciation for teachers and to support classroom learning. The deadline is October 20.

REMINDER: "Think It Up" is a national initiative that is inviting public school students in grades 7-12 to develop student-powered and teacher-led learning projects, in partnership with Donors Choose. Any projects submitted to Think It Up should follow the usual WCPSS grants process and be reported by submitting an Intent to Apply form.
