Grant Alerts - September 6, 2017

The United Arts Council is offering their Wheels on the Bus grant to Title I schools in Wake County.  This grant will provide funds to cover transportation and entry fees for a grade-level field trip. Field trips must be selected from a list of options (found on their website) and take place during the school day. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 22, 2017.
When the Board of Education met on Tuesday, September 5, they approved two opportunities for schools in the Fuquay-Varina area -- the Fuquay-Varina Woman's Club mini-grants and the Woodmen of the World grants. Principals at the eligible schools can provide the guidelines and application forms to those interested in applying.
Finally, just a quick reminder that the deadlines for Bright Ideas (September 13), Wake Electric Classroom Technology (September 13), Target's Field Trip (October 1), and Lowe's Toolbox for Education (September 29) grants are coming up soon, so now is a good time for the procrastinators among us to get busy. ;-)
We hope you will consider these opportunities, share them with your colleagues, and let us know if an application is in the works by submitting an Intent to Apply form.
Happy grant writing!
